Shimizu Europe Limited, a subsidiary of Shimizu Corporation one of the world's leading construction groups, has appointed Dimension Data Advanced Infrastructure (DDAI) to design and implement the electric cabling infrastructure to a new mixed commercial and residential “Greenwich Cutty Sark” development in London.

Dimension Data is responsible for the provision of power infrastructure to the entire Centros Miller development comprising 50,000 square feet of retail, 230-bed Greenwich University student accommodation and 24 luxury apartments. The dedicated DDAI team is managing every aspect of the design, installation and maintenance of the cabling infrastructure, including all the health & safety issues associated with laying cable close to the busy Cutty Sark Docklands Light Rail station.

A spokesperson for Shimizu said: “We are working to a tight completion date for the project, so it was important to choose a partner that could meet our deadline for both implementation and testing. We selected the DDAI team because we were impressed by its level of expertise and were confident it could deliver a first-class implementation at a very competitive price.”

Advanced Infrastructure is the Dimension Data line of business that offers installation and management services to enterprises encompassing their entire technostructure. These include facilities and computer room design and implementation, network cabling such as data, voice and fibre reticulation, power solutions and technologies such as wireless solutions.
