eRoom connects Airbus employees with the company's extended supply chain of clients, suppliers and partners.

Airbus, the multinational aerospace consortium, has taken the strategic decision to adopt an enterprise portal using eRoom’s collaborative technology. The portal is the nerve centre of the company’s integration strategy, and will combine the company’s core competencies and abilities. Within the framework of the project Airbus have signed a contract for 25, 000 eRoom licences.

The first roll-out phase will progressively cover all Airbus employees with access to a computer, and the next phase will encompass members of the company's extended supply chain of clients, suppliers and partners. The aim is not to transform the company’s existing processes but to optimize them through effective collaboration between employees whatever their geographical location.

In the final phase, eRoom will be rolled out to Airbus’ main suppliers, sub-contractors, clients and partners.

An eRoom server is already in use for test projects that will allow Airbus to evaluate the full potential of the product, prepare for full deployment and help the company define a Best Practice methodology.
