Free Enterprise Portal implementation helps organisations evaluate ROI without risk
4th April 2002: Europe’s leader in enterprise portal solutions, Mediapps, is so convinced that its ‘out-of-the-box’ Net.Portal solution can offer immediate gains in employee productivity that it is offering a free, customised 50-user implementation to organisations considering the deployment of an enterprise portal.
“A large number of IT projects have been stalled with organisations unwilling to commit budget and resource without a proven return,” explains Ian Wells, managing director or Mediapps UK. “Until now, proving ROI for a portal implementation has required significant upfront investment via a pilot project. With no guarantee of success it can be difficult to get a project off the starting blocks, board members want hard, proven evidence that the stated ROI can be achieved.”
Mediapps’ ‘No Risk’ trial allows organisations to deploy a 50-user portal using the recently launched Net.Portal v4.0. The trial includes installation, set-up and customisation at the customer’s premises. Mediapps will also provide a ‘Wants and Needs’ analysis to assess the requirements of potential users.
Global research and advisory firm Nucleus Research has estimated that enterprise portals, which offer a single, easy to use and personalised interface for employees, enabling then to access applications and data according to their roles and requirements, deliver a 7-10% improvement on employee productivity.
“Net.Portal 4.0 has been designed to create a truly ‘out-of-the-box’ solution that allows an organisation to deploy an enterprise information portal with greater speed and efficiency. We are confident that our risk-free trial will demonstrate immediate benefits through increased employee productivity and efficiency,” finishes Wells.
Notes to editors:
