Rainbow Increases the Breadth of its Sentinel Product Line By Adding Support for the Industry’s Most Popular OS/Hardware Platforms
Rainbow eSecurity, a Rainbow Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNBO) company and a leading provider of digital content and transaction security solutions for the Internet, eCommerce and software protection, announced at today’s 2002 Software & Information Industry Annual conference that Rainbow’s Sentinel software security solutions are the first to secure applications for IBM’s AS/400 iSeries hardware platforms.
Both the Sentinel SuperPro and SuperProNet software security token families will secure AS/400 applications developed for Microsoft Windows or Linux operating systems that support the OS/400 operating systems versions V4R5 and higher, as well as Linux AS/400. Additionally all Sentinel hardware keys supporting this robust hardware platform can use SentinelLM 7.1.1 license management to effectively and efficiently manage license usage as well as communicating with SentinelLM ports running on other operating systems in large heterogeneous environments. This allows the AS/400 to effectively provide enterprise-wide management on any Sentinel-secured client.
“Powerful security and interoperability are essential for mission-critical applications in any large enterprise environment,” said David M. Lynch, vice president of marketing, Rainbow eSecurity. “Now for the first time, application developers can choose a single security solution to secure and manage cross-platform applications that leverage robust servers like IBM’s AS/400. We are proud to create new solutions for extending our industry-leading Sentinel product line to support the real-world cross platform environments today’s customers use.”
