Germany and UK off to a record start

London, April 17, 2002 - Opodo, a leading pan-European online travel service, backed by nine of Europe’s leading airlines, today launched its French site – .

The site is the third to be launched, following Germany and the UK, where Opodo has already been extremely successful. In its’ first four months of operation, received nearly 4 million visitors. It was ranked the number one flight-website in Germany and overall the number two travel site, rating just behind the Deutsche Bahn site (National Railway)*.

Just two months after its launch in January this year, had already received 2.1 million visitors and ratings show that it was the third most trafficked multi category travel site in the UK according to figures released by Nielsen Netratings**.
