Midrange and desktop outsourcing specialist, Digica, announces the appointment of Tim Wightman as [non-executive] chairman of Digica Holdings Ltd, the parent company of Digica Ltd and Digica Inc.
Tim has extensive business experience in the UK, Germany and the USA. He
was chief executive of Knürr AG, a German-based global manufacturer of
electronic equipment for the IT and telecoms markets, which was the subject
of a 70 million public to private transaction backed by 3i Group.
Previously, he was chief executive of Rubicon Group plc, a leading quoted
European supplier of outsourced manufacturing services to the electronics
industry. When Rubicon became part of a larger US group, he served on the
executive board with responsibility for the development of its services
In addition, Tim has prior board level experience in the financial services
sector, most notably at Lloyds Bowmaker PLC. He has an engineering degree
from Cambridge University and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
Tim also holds other non-executive directorships with g4 Limited, Elsphyl
Ltd, Ortrüd GmbH (Germany) and Knürr AG (Germany).
