Improvements are the Equivalent of One Extra Day Per Week Per Person


PlanView customers enjoyed an average resource utilisation increase of 17.7 per cent as a direct result of implementing PlanView, according to a recent survey of users of Professional Services Automation (PSA) solutions by the Aberdeen Group. Out of the nine PSA vendors whose users were surveyed, PlanView had the highest resource utilisation increase (the survey average was 8.1 per cent).


"The main goal in PSA deployment is increased resource utilisation, together with better financial management," said David Hofferberth, Research Director with Aberdeen who oversaw the survey. "PlanView customers reported the most-impressive results we had in that category."


PlanView users also credited the vendor's streamlined electronic time and expense capturing for invoicing with reducing their billing cycle times by an average of 4.0 weeks, another high ranking for the survey (the survey average was 1.6 weeks). Reducing billing cycle times increases cash flow and improves profitability. Of other significance, the largest percentage of survey respondents were PlanView users, who comprised both externally focused and internally focused IT services organisations.


PlanView customers achieved their utilisation improvements through integrated scheduling, reduced administrative processes, and improved knowledge sharing and collaboration.
