News Release
27 May 2002-London

Damovo and Telia International Carrier (Telia IC) have entered into a Global Business Partnership authorising Damovo as a Communications Services Provider, and Systems Integration Partner of Telia IC. This will see Damovo and Telia IC providing a full range of services under a Damovo Managed Services umbrella.

This business partnership will enable Damovo to provide its corporate customers with a full range of services including managed voice to managed IP VPN. The agreement has been created to allow the partners to meet the marketplace’s requirements for cost, reliability and the actual communication services needed.

Damovo is a global services company delivering world-class corporate communications, supported by a consultative approach to its international client base consisting of over 26,000 organisations. Operating as a provider of communications solutions, Damovo does not have its own product R&D department, a move designed to allow it to provide customers with best in class products from other manufacturers.

“In considering who we would partner with in this space, we looked for stability, ability to innovate, a comparable culture and a commitment to the customer. Telia is established, solid, and has a network which is capable and provides the reach we need,” says Pearse Flynn CEO, Damovo. “In terms of co-operation and willingness to drive business, Telia International Carrier was a natural selection.”

Telia IC has an extensive wholly-owned multi-fibre optic network - the Viking Network – which provides high capacity bandwidth and offers end-to-end connectivity around the world. Telia IC produces and sells services within infrastructure, local services, netcapacity, voice and IP to a growing customer segment for international wholesales.

"In our view Damovo has taken a unique non-box approach to solving corporate customers’ communications needs,” says Erik Heilborn CEO, of Telia International Carrier. “This position, tied in with a Damovo Managed Services package backed by the Telia IC IP backbone and network services, is a powerful proposition for corporate customers looking for an unbiased approach to solving real business communications issues."
