e-InBusiness provides Buyagift with value added service based on ContactMail from Experian
Email marketing campaigns increase visits by 25%

e-InBusiness, the specialist e-commerce system builder today announced the successful launch of a new look website for Buyagift sells online a wide selection of leisure activity experiences. To attract even more visitors to this popular site, the website now uses ContactMail from Experian. The new look site has been promoted by its first two highly targeted, permission-based email marketing campaigns, which have increased traffic to the site by 25%.

This dramatic increase was fuelled by ContactMail's powerful reporting facilities, which enabled Buyagift to send people emails about gifts that they had already shown an interest in. For example, people who had clicked on the link in the first email to the Driving Days zone of the website were offered a special discount on Driving Days in the second email. Comprehensive analysis and reporting from ContactMail shows which recipients clicked on which links, which were the most popular products, who forwarded the email to friends and even who opened the email and just deleted it without reading it.

Rather than buying lists, Buyagift has maintained a policy of building its own database by running online competitions. People are encouraged to request information and thereby give their email contact details. The ContactMail software manages the database, so that new contacts gathered as people forward the emails are added and people who unsubscribe are removed. This saves time and resources, and cuts down on spam – unwanted emails.

In addition, ContactMail manages the format of the email by sending it in one of three formats: HTML, HTML for AOL browsers and plain text formats, so recipients receive the email in whatever format best suits their email reader. HTML emails are visually more attractive, incorporating images from the target web site, and experience shows that HTML emails generate up to three times greater response rates than text based messages.
