Elemental PR appoint on-IDLE to create and develop its corporate identity and website to be launched in mid June 2002.

----Begins----

Elemental PR

http://www.elementalpr.co.uk the off and online PR consultancy has appointed technology and design solutions provider on-IDLE http://www.on-IDLE.com to create and develop its corporate identity and website.

The full service PR consultancy who offer off and online consultancy will be moving to London’s Covent Garden in July 2002, have appointed on-IDLE after waiting a year to develop its brand off and online. on-IDLE were chosen because they embraced what Elemental PR required, which is a balance of a great looking dynamic website, but one that is was responsive to interactive PR and marketing.

The work will involve the re-design of the logo, associated stationery and then the design and development of the Elemental PR website. The corporate identity development, including word-based templates is expected to take around two weeks to implementation. The website, being built on a fully browser-based XML content management system includes an online press centre extranet will take up to three weeks from base design to online implementation. The website will go live early mid June 2002, with the official launch planned for July 2002 supported by aggressive online promotions, which will include search engine marketing [SEM] and an online PR campaign.

Tim Gibbon, Account Director at Elemental PR says, "We decided to put development of the corporate identity, branding and website on hold, until we had defined our business propositions and found an agency that could develop and add value to our business and creative strategy. In addition to this our focus was to create and build solid relationships with our clients, before we looked at our own identity and promotion. A great deal lot of consultancy and production work that we provide for our clients is carried out overseas, and it’s crucial our website and resources cater for and enhance this.
This will enable the Elemental PR team and clients to communicate even more effectively, interacting and updating material via the website intranet and extranet through a user-friendly editor interface".

Gibbon adds, "on-IDLE understand what we were about and were key in defining how we wish to project our brand, both off and online. We were keen to appoint an experienced company that have solid design and development skills, as there are technical and interactive facilities on the website which will be driving force behind the Elemental PR service offering. We are excited with what we have seen so far, and can rely on on-IDLE to deliver a first class site for us."

Marc Peter, Creative Director at on-IDLE, comments, "This is an interesting project for us because of the thinking that’s behind who Elemental PR are, as expressed in the detailed brief provided. The current identity gives too much away, and needs to be reduced bringing Elemental PR back to its roots – leaving some interpretation to the audience on the inherent symbolism.
It's a thought-provoking account because of the scope and flexibility of what can be achieved taking into consideration the nature of the consultancy name and brand and then reflecting their propositions off and online".

What does on-IDLE mean?

“on-IDLE” is a script handler from the Lingo language used for Macromedia Director and other code languages. It is a handler that is activated when everything is down – when the computer is idle – the “on” command activates the application again. Similar to a car idling, it is ready to go, but only when the handler is activated (accelerator pedal and gears) it goes.
