11 June 2002 (A0204) -- In association with Macromedia, ecommerce software
vendor Actinic announces the availability of a web site development package
that combines two best-of-breed applications for the SME market place. The
offer comprises of Macromedia's Dreamweaver4 Fireworks4 Studio and Actinic
Business v5 together with the Actinic Dreamweaver extensions for £999 +
VAT, a saving of £310. Launching at Internet World 2002, Earls Court,
London on stand 1206, the package will be available direct from Actinic

or via distributor, Computers Unlimited

"Recent research commissioned by Actinic indicates that 40% of small and
medium-sized businesses build and deploy their own sites. Conscious of the
need for inter-operability, Actinic has enabled its software to work
seamlessly with Dreamweaver. And so, for the first time we have a bundle
that means without programming, small businesses can set up a complete web
site with integrated ebusiness features using industry standard technology,
for under £1000," says Phil Rothwell, business development director at Actinic.

Tim Webb, product marketing manager Dreamweaver, Macromedia comments, "We
are pleased to be working with Actinic on this bundle and excited that our
products will jointly enable the SME market to easily create ecommerce
applications. The technology match is a great example of how our
Dreamweaver community is continuing to evolve and we are sure that the
bundle will complement the product portfolios of both companies."

Dreamweaver4 Fireworks4 Studio has integrated product features and a shared
Macromedia User Interface makes it easy to create, edit and animate Web
graphics in Fireworks, and incorporate them seamlessly with
Dreamweaver. The studio enables developers to design and optimise vector
and bitmap graphics and sophisticated pop-up JavaScript menus in Fireworks.
Users can complete site development in Dreamweaver using familiar page
layout techniques or work entirely in the hand-coding environment.

Actinic Business v5 integrates business functionality into the internet. It
offers complete online catalogue construction and maintenance facilities
and powerful order processing features, together with customer account
management, dynamic data linking and attribute-based searching. Exclusive
to this package, the Actinic Business Dreamweaver Extensions facilitate the
editing of Actinic Business templates within Dreamweaver. They enable the
user to integrate Actinic's powerful ebusiness features seamlessly into the
overall site design.
