London, 20 June 2002 – BTLookSmart today announced the launch of BidSmart Featured Listings, a new product offering advertisers a dynamic way to promote web sites across online search directories. BidSmart Featured Listings makes it possible for advertisers to guarantee prominent positioning in search results across the BTLookSmart network of sites. The service allows advertisers to conduct highly targeted, key word specific advertising campaigns on some of the UK’s most popular ISPs and Portals, including BTopenworld, Tiscali, ntl:home and LookSmart.
Through a competitive real-time auction, advertisers can bid against one another for the chance to have their web site review or listing shown in the top search results for specific keywords on BTLookSmart's network of affiliate sites. Advertisers select the keywords, choose a bid price for each URL on a cost-per-click basis, and write their own site reviews. Advertisers can choose to bid on keywords for one URL, or for many URLs within their web sites.

Kelkoo, Barclaycard, Shopsmart, Virgin, TST Leisure, Dating Direct, Match.com, Virgin Money and Marbles Loans have all signed up to use the BidSmart Featured Listings service.
