June 24th, 2002. London: Intec Telecom Systems, a global provider of operations support systems, has made two senior appointments which recognise the growing dominance of its billing and mediation software in European and American markets. Peter Deane joins Intec as Regional Director for EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa), from his former position as MD of Horizon Open Systems UK Ltd. Horizon is part of the publicly quoted Horizon Technology Group, and Peter brings substantial commercial experience of both successful business management in a public company, and of the technical requirements of the IP communications marketplace. Peter was previously with Sun Microsystems and ICL.

Intec has also appointed Ruben Reynoso as the new Intec country manager for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Reynoso will be based at Intec’s office in Mexico City. Ruben has more than 20 years of experience in the sales, marketing and management of high technology solutions. Before joining Intec, he was the regional sales and business development director for EHPT (Ericsson-Hewlett-Packard Telecommunications, now Ericsson), where he was responsible for the sales and business development of Telecommunications Business Support Systems in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and Andean countries.

Kevin Adams, Intec’s CEO commented: “The appointment of two very experienced and successful senior staff into our sales organisation from peers and competitors underlines the potential we see for Intec to continue growing market share in key geographies. Despite the difficulties seen in some parts of the telecoms OSS market, Intec continues to expand and to win significant new customers in all regions.”
