Steve Sussman to Direct Latest Service Offering for Moai Customers and Partners
London, July 3, 2002. To lead this practice, Moai has appointed Steve N. Sussman to the new position of director of sales, consulting practice.

The practice will work with new and existing Moai customers to develop a comprehensive, complete e-sourcing strategy. Moai’s consulting practice will address rapid opportunity assessments, spend analysis, development of commodity-focused sourcing processes/strategies, development of supplier databases, change management, education and strategic sourcing program maintenance. When in place, these processes can reduce direct and indirect operating expenses by up to 35%.
In parallel to the benefits for customers, Moai will work closely with its partners to increase the value of their existing strategic relationships. “We have developed our sourcing consulting practice to allow maximum benefit for both Moai and our partners,” said Mehta. “The practice will allow us to provide better services to partners, because we will have a clearer understanding of the best processes for both parties. In his new role of overseeing the sourcing consulting practice, Sussman brings to Moai more than 20 years of experience in strategic sourcing, spend analysis and procurement. His expertise encompasses numerous areas, such as strategic sourcing solution leadership; visioning and development of integrated sourcing business plans; business process re-engineering and change management; supplier program and relationship management; and conceptualisation, planning and implementation of integrated strategic sourcing and SRM programs.
Previously, Sussman was a senior manager/director at KPMG Consulting; founder and president of Strategic Resource, Inc.; and vice president, consulting for Schacher, Greentree, Inc.
