Deverill Training Services has carried out a major IT training programme on behalf of high tech communications company, ACT Teleconferencing.


ACT provides a full range of audio, video, and Internet conferencing services allowing companies to communicate easily and effectively with customers, team members, investors and employees all over the world. Currently, ACT has 12 operations centres and 13 sales offices around the world with some 300 employees, of which 135 are located in the United Kingdom at its Harrow headquarters.


Deverill Training's Bill Norris explains, 'ACT is a very rapidly growing and highly successful company, offering leading edge technology solutions in corporate communications. The company believes it is essential that its staff be fully up to speed with modern office applications like Powerpoint, Excel, Word and Outlook, in order to offer the highest level of service to customers.'


Deverill Training was appointed to tailor a series of training days to fit the needs of ACT staff. Some 75 per cent of ACT staff have attended Deverill training courses in Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, with further training days planned.


According to ACT's acting Training Manager, Tara Farrell, 'Every manager has to complete a pre-brief and a de-brief form after training has been completed. It is then evaluated into the individual person's working day. Managers must send candidates on courses relevant to their work. I have found Deverill Training to be professional and helpful. I have received very good feedback from employees on all the courses.'
