Enterasys Networks, Inc. (NYSE: ETS), a leader in enterprise networking solutions, today named Attley Ng as president of its Asia-Pacific region.

In his new role with Enterasys, Ng will be responsible for executive management of all aspects of the company’s operations in Asia-Pacific, including sales, service and strategies to grow the company’s business throughout the region. He will report directly to Enterasys’ Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing, Mads Lillelund, and will be based at Enterasys’ Asia-Pacific headquarters in Singapore.

“Attley’s industry experience, leadership abilities, and extensive knowledge of channel partners and the Asia-Pacific region make him an excellent fit for driving the growth of Enterasys here,” said Lillelund. “We are pleased to have him leading our efforts to develop business and increase market share across all countries in this expanding market.”

Prior to Enterasys, Ng held several executive-level positions with AT&T and Lucent Technologies, where he most recently served as Lucent’s Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region. He held P&L responsibility for Lucent’s Global Commercial Markets Business, valued at over $150 million, and also managed business development initiatives such as identification of major new business opportunities for new and existing customers in the region.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to join Enterasys Networks. The company’s focus on security, availability and mobility solutions, as well as its strong technology and commitment to customer satisfaction and channel partners, make it well positioned to increase its presence in the Asian market. I am looking forward to working with the team to grow Asia-Pacific aggressively,” said Ng.

Ng recently completed the Harvard University Executive Program for Global Leadership, and holds a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Minnesota.
