Slough, July 2002 Training with famous footballers at premier clubs, stock car racing, driving a top-of-the-range Ferrari as well as the chance to grab thousands of computer games, CDs and stereo equipment are just some of the prizes on offer in the Reseller Reward Program developed by Invensys Powerware, the world’s leading manufacturer of UPS systems. The online reward scheme awards ‘i points’ to resellers for every Powerware UPS unit sold.

The web-based program is easy to use and is monitored and managed by the sales people themselves. They simply log on to their ‘i points’ account, enter the number of Powerware UPS units they have sold and they will be rewarded with points. They can then shop for goods from the dedicated reseller reward website using the points.

Genesis Business Systems is one of the many resellers currently participating in the Powerware scheme. Their operations director, Dave Foster is very motivated. “I love it” he says, “once set up, it's easy to use and the points add up really quickly. We are awarded points every time we sell a Powerware UPS. I do a couple of entries a month, which is worth a couple of hundred points, and I’m well on my way to having enough points for a holiday abroad. I would definitely recommend this reward program, it is a good value incentive scheme which actually encourages sales - much better than other incentive programs we have participated in - and you don't have to sell enough Powerware products to support the gross national debt of China just to get something like a wristwatch. Powerware has such good products they are not hard to sell anyway, and now I have the added bonus of getting a free holiday from them. Seems too good to be true doesn't it?"

The ‘i points’ are awarded according to which UPS series is sold - 3, 5, or 9 – and can then be exchanged for prizes including shopping vouchers, electrical and computer goods, games, CDs or the chance to try gliding, power boating, training with famous footballers at top clubs, lunch on the Orient Express plus thousands of other gifts.

“We are very excited about the ‘i points’ reward scheme,” says Fiona Carlton-Shields, senior business development manager. “It’s an initiative that proves to our resellers that what they do matters to us, and of course, to give them a little extra for the hard work they put in to selling our products. We are also proud to be the first company to offer such a scheme proving that we are a company that cares.”
