The Three Domains on show are Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Virtual Offices and Converged Networks, supported by a range of systems integration and consultancy services offered by the company and its strategic partners.

Philips Business Communications (Philips), the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) division of the Royal Philips Electronics Group (AEX: PHI, NYSE: PHG), will be demonstrating its capabilities as a leading systems and applications integrator at this year's TMA (Telecommunications Managers Association) exhibition. Visitors to the event, which takes place on 21-23 October, will find Philips in the Josephine suite of the Grand Hotel in Brighton, where the company will again be exhibiting alongside long-term partner BTS and unveiling the latest in its range of ICT solutions and systems integration services.

Over the past year Philips has continued to strengthen its solutions and services portfolio, collectively badged as the ‘Domains of Expertise,’ with new in-house offerings and strategic partnerships with leading software providers worldwide. Building upon the company’s proven voice and data integration expertise the Customer Relations domain aims to help companies enhance customer satisfaction by delivering quality service at every customer interaction. Virtual Offices focuses on how to maximise productivity with flexible, remote working, and Converged Networks enables organisations to boost overall profitability with cost-effective voice and data management.

Each domain is closely interwoven and fully supported by Philips Expert Services, a full range of consultancy and support services aimed at ensuring companies integrate these new age solutions with their existing technology infrastructures and optimise their deployment for enhanced business performance.

Ian Hyde, Marketing Manager at Philips in the UK, said, "Our ‘Domains of Expertise’ are focused on helping companies address some of the most pressing questions in business today – how to manage customer contacts across multiple interaction channels; enable staff to work as effectively on the road and at home as at the office, and tightly control costs. Where we bring additional value to our customers is by using our business as well as technology expertise to analyse their specific requirements before working with them every step of the way to realise a solution. From building the business case to project managing the implementation and providing long-term support we have a proven approach that ensures the technology our customers deploy brings measurable benefit and profitable return to their organisations.”

He continued, “Our customers are able to draw not only upon Philips rich heritage in cutting-edge ICT solutions and systems integration but also the expertise of the leading software suppliers around the world with whom we partner. Our combined expertise ensures we deliver bespoke, best-of-breed systems and applications that are integrated to meet our customers’ exact needs.”

Visitors to the Philips suite will be able to find out more about the best-of-breed solutions and applications offered by the company’s partners and how these support the individual Philips domains. These include leading Unified Messaging solutions provider Cycos, whose solutions form part of Philips Virtual Offices portfolio, and speech recognition specialists Telephonetics, with whom the company has signed a recent partnership to strengthen its Customer Relations offering. ContactPortal® is an innovative directory solution that routes calls to any location and sounds as natural as a human operator, but is totally automated and activated by voice alone. It enables companies to cost-effectively provide a professional face to their customers and route calls to staff no matter where they are working to deliver better customer service.

Philips and co-exhibitor BTS will be jointly demonstrating the range of system, call management and directory services solutions that have been developed by the two companies, including the powerful Phoneware directory management system. Visitors will also be able to find out more about other offerings within the Converged Networks portfolio, including the range of managed network services for SMEs and large corporates that Philips provides in partnership with BT, including broadband ASDL, virtual private, IP and electronic directory-enabled networks.

Ian Hyde said, “What visitors will be able to see is that all the solutions we offer are underpinned by our portfolio of Expert Services that provide companies with a single source of advisory and supporting services for every step of their ICT deployments. Coupled with the excellent technology capability and business-focused applications we and our partners provide this presents a very strong portfolio of solutions, systems integration and support services that we believe will generate a lot of interest at this year’s TMA.”
