Comverse Demonstrates Multimedia Mobile Email (MME) On Texas Instruments' OMAP Processor-Based Mobile Device At UMTS Congress

Comverse, a unit of Comverse Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMVT), and the world's leading supplier of software and systems enabling network-based multimedia enhanced communications services, will demonstrate Multimedia Mobile Email (MME) on a mobile device based on Texas Instruments OMAP wireless processing platform, at the UMTS Congress, Oct. 3-4 in Paris, at Comverse Booth C36A.

Comverse's MME handles a full spectrum of email messages and attachments, including correspondence, Microsoft Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, video and audio files, image attachments and more. MME features include:

' A user experience based on a natural familiar, colorful inbox and icons

' Full email functionality, including retrieve, compose, reply, forward and delete

' Full access to multimedia email attachments

' Video, audio and PowerPoint slide show streaming

' Comverse MME Client - Optimized for the TI's OMAP processing platform that enables sync capabilities and even lets the user work off-line.

' Multimedia Email Gateway - Adapts media to terminal capabilities, reduces client and handset requirements, and enables transcoding and streaming. The Multimedia Email Gateway integrates seamlessly with any standard email server.

' Comverse HMAP Protocol - Reduces bandwidth requirements and enables quick response time.
