Software vendor launches channel recruitment drive at Sage Expo 2002

4 NOVEMBER 2002, CHELTENHAM - Software developer cde::solutions is using Sage Expo 2002, at Birmingham’s ICC on November 12, to launch a new version of its business information and data integration solution.

The new version, emerge, is fully XML-enabled and browser-based and lets Sage resellers transform their customers’ reporting capabilities with its unique features.

“emerge gives medium-sized businesses data integration and business information functionality at a fraction of the cost of high-end alternatives,” says cde::solutions Managing Director Ray Dutton, adding, “It can be fully customised by our partners to suit a range of end user needs.”

emerge can draw on information from a variety of data sources across a business,
greatly enhancing the scope of the reports the user can generate. Report data can be taken not
only from accounting packages like Sage Line 100, but also from sources like payroll and HR systems, regardless of the type of database used.

Dutton explained that the new product will transform reseller bottom lines: “The solution is easy to implement because the software is installed only on the server. This added efficiency means you can either adjust your prices and make more sales, or increase your margin through lower project costs.”

Dutton said the reseller can adapt and create reports for customers on a consultative basis, providing them with a useful service and the reseller with increased added value revenues. Once a report has been created, it can be redeployed to additional customer sites at no further cost, delivering yet more profitability.

An entry level version of emerge, called emerge-se, is also available for smaller organizations. This comes with a range of pre-defined reports and is an easy route into web-based reporting.
