Playing these games supports one’s club’s prestige by raising their ranking on the site, and fans win money if their predictions are correct.

The service then provides a recurring stream of funds from the fans’ contributions directly to the good cause that they themselves choose, without any tax or commission deductions. In this manner, builds and maintains a direct link from communities of club supporters to the causes that they feel will most benefit their club and community, and the sport in general.

The games are a new twist on the pools concept, where stakes are created by the amount of money pledged by fans on each side, and the final payout is determined as the whistle blows for kick off. thus removes the fixed-odds bookmaker (and their associated hidden cost) from the equation, allowing fans to stake their expertise and money head-to-head with each other.

The Street League provides professional football training in partnership with premiership London Football Clubs community schemes.

Mark David, founder and CEO of commented:

“We believe that our ability to provide robust links between football fans and the sport itself, together with a streamlined pools-type game experience is a strong and attractive differentiator in our marketplace. Fans know that donations go directly to their chosen cause with no hidden commissions and frankly, since we distribute far more of the stakes to winners than any other game, they're likely to win more as well.”

Damian Hatton of Street Football League explained:” It’s extremely refreshing to encounter an organisation in this field that has set up to be truly dedicated to investing in causes that promote and nurture sport and its beneficial effects on the community. We’re delighted to be the first to be in line for donations from fans, it makes perfect sense.”

The foremost mission of the site is to provide a channel by which fans contribute regularly and directly to the organisations that build and support the health and future of football, and the communities to which the sport belongs.

Fans must pay to play, and must also donate a minimum percentage of their money to the Good Cause of their choice (e.g., The Street League). makes its profit by retaining a small commission on each play (dramatically less than that of alternative gaming sites, online or off), enabling their continued promotion and operation of the website.

Notes to the Editor:

In this game, fans support their club by predicting the outcome of a specific upcoming match. An Arsenal fan, for example, might believe that their chances against Liverpool this Saturday are quite good, and select “Absolutely!” to the proposition that Arsenal will win by two goals or more. But even if that fan feels that the Gunners may not be on their best foot this week, they could still support their club by playing “No Way!” to the proposition that Liverpool will win by three goals or more.

Football fans test their broader expertise on the sport in the 12/11’s game by predicting the outcome – home win, away win, or draw – of twelve matches being played over an upcoming weekend. Fans who predict the twelve outcomes (or even as few as 8!) correctly, consequently receive a share of the total pool generated from all players.

Several versions of the game are available each week, generally organized around the Divisional fixtures, with occasional special matches thrown in as well.
