CopperEye supply Adaptive Addressing to Orange UK
Adaptive Addressing technology brings vast improvements to a high speed transaction processing system
6 November 2002 -- Bath, UK -- CopperEye, developer and supplier of a revolutionary data indexing technology that significantly enhances database performance, today announced that its Adaptive Addressing Custom Indexing solution is one of the underpinning technologies in the new business system deployed by Orange, the UK's most popular mobile phone service. Adaptive Addressing offers performance and future-proofing gains for the Orange UK systems. Orange UK is using Adaptive Addressing to enhance performance of its business systems.
The application was built in partnership with global solutions company Logica. A small handful of companies were involved in the solution, a solution which both Orange UK and Logica said would not have been possible without CopperEye's Adaptive Addressing - which will enable the communications company to process large volumes of data in a timely fashion.
Colin Elder, Solutions Delivery Manager at Orange UK, said: "Telecommunications is a high volume transaction business and we were looking for a solution that combined high performance, longevity and ability. The strength of partnership between Logica and CopperEye's Adaptive Addressing system has given us a bespoke solution which perfectly suits our needs."
Steven Rose, Chief Executive Officer of CopperEye commented: "Our company is proud to be associated with such a high transaction leading-edge telecommunications application. Orange is innovative, with a strong focus on performance and customer service. These are objectives we share, and that we can enable through our own superior technologies."
"The solution for Orange needed to be capable of indexing and storing data at a phenomenal rate. For this they required a proven and innovative technology such as CopperEye's Adaptive Addressing. Also, with 3G on the horizon the solution needed to be flexible enough to cope with an ever growing volume of data." Rose concluded.
