Brian Kite to Serve as Vice President Channel Strategy

London, December 03, 2002 – At its Asia Pacific/Japan Affiliate Summit, SSA Global Technologies, Inc.™ (SSA GT™), a worldwide provider of enterprise solutions and services, today announced the appointment of Brian Kite as vice president of channel strategy.

Mr. Kite, previously vice president of the MAX International product line at SSA GT, will be responsible for developing worldwide reseller and service provider relationships and franchises. He will oversee policies, procedures, commercial terms and standardisation of contracts to ensure that the same high standards of consultancy and implementation methodology are consistent worldwide.

“SSA GT continues to grow market share through strong sales from our worldwide channel affiliate program. The addition of this position confirms SSA GT’s commitment to developing a strong reseller relationship and a strategic product distribution channel,” said Graeme Cooksley, executive vice president of global sales and marketing, SSA GT. “Brian’s deep knowledge of the channel market coupled with his expertise from the successful expansion of the SSA GT MAX solution will have a positive impact on the growth of our network.”

SSA GT’s expansive affiliate program provides additional local market support to clients, assuring that all SSA GT customers receive the same consistent quality of service as we provide directly. The current network of over 80 channel affiliates covers Latin America, Asia/Pacific/Japan and EMEA with plans for expansion in all regions including North America. SSA GT Channel Affiliates are fully certified to provide sales and support for all SSA GT solutions and extensions.

As part of Kite’s role, he will be implementing a certification process for all affiliates. “This process will ensure that SSA GT clients will receive the highest level of customer service," said Kite. “I am working with our regions to build upon SSA GT's existing channel partnerships around the globe to include acquired companies and their channel outlets.”

Brian Kite joined SSA GT in February 1998 as Services Development Manager for EMEA. In April 2001, he became vice president of MAX International, a company acquired by SSA GT from Fujitsu in the United Kingdom. Kite was responsible for the general management and growth of NT and UNIX sales, services and development.

He will continue to work with the regional affiliate managers worldwide, maintaining and leveraging local relationships. In his new position, Mr. Kite reports directly to Graeme Cooksley, executive vice president of global sales and marketing.
