NEC Computers (UK) launches the PowerMate i-Select XL53

Leading manufacturer, NEC Computers (UK) has launched a new addition to its award winning PowerMate range of desktop PCs. The PowerMate i-Select XL53 is powered by an Intel Pentium 4 processor running at speeds of up to 3.06GHz and features ultra fast Hyper Threading support incorporating the latest key technologies at an unbeatable price.

Based on the i845GE chipset, the XL53 is integrated with Intel Extreme Graphics pre-load and incorporates a 533MHz Front Side Bus and 512Mb of DDR 333 (with support up to 1GB). NEC’s latest PC comes with a large choice of chassis based on a micro ATX form factor and is available in both micro tower and convertible configurations for a flexible, high-powered expandable solution.

Both chassis designs offer a host of available slots, including 2 PCI, one combo PCI, one CNR and one AGP slot. The convertible chassis has three 3.5” internal bays plus two 5.25” and two 3.5” external bays. The micro tower provides one 3.5” internal bay and two external bays, one 5.25” and the other 3.5”.

For maximum connectivity, the NEC PowerMate i-Select XL53 provides 6 USB 2.0 ports, a CNR 56K V90 modem and an IEEE-1394 port. Also included is an ATI Radion 9700 Pro graphics card with 128MB of DDR TVO, AGP 4X and integrated DirectSound AC’97 audio or Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live 5.1.

An example configuration for the XL53 includes an Intel Pentium 4 processor with 3.06MHz and 512Kb, Hyper Threading technology, 256MB DDR-RAM, 80GB 5400RPM hard drive, CDRW, 16X DVD, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro graphics with 128MB DDR TVO DVI, 17” LCD flat panel monitor, integrated Intel LAN solution, CNR modem, optical mouse, SB Live 5.1 or Inspire 5300, Windows XP Home edition, Star Office 5.2 and a 1 year on site warranty.
