Linux Pavilion gives over 11 500 visitors access to open source software and information in a dedicated area

London, 9th December 2002. Networks for Business 2003 announces the development of a dedicated Linux Pavilion for the 2003 event, now giving IT decision-makers a single area to evaluate Linux technology in more depth. The Linux Pavilion will be just one of the many features at Networks for Business 2003, held 24-26th June 2003, at the Birmingham NEC, UK.

Jane Murphy, Portfolio Director for Networks for Business 2003 explains, “Linux technology has always been one of the integral technologies promoted at Networks for Business. Now with the inclusion of a dedicated Linux Pavilion, IT professionals will have an exclusive area to better understand and assess this revolutionary technology.”

As the educational platform on Linux technical and business issues, the Linux Pavilion will provide visitors with the chance to investigate Linux technology, meet the market’s leading service providers and compare the offerings available. Visitors will also be able to hear case study & product led presentations and witness debate between industry experts, including presentations by IBM Global Services.

Murphy continued, “By featuring the Linux Pavilion, Networks for Business 2003 is giving senior IT professionals within central and local government, the wider public sectors, business, IT, finance and education the best platform to search for the latest information on implementing Linux servers and understand the issues surrounding the open source revolution.”

Just some of the leading organisations that support Networks for Business include: HP/Compaq, Bakbone, Sony, IBM and Ideal Enterprises.
