KaVaDo, the technology leader in Web application protection whose European operation is centred in the UK, announced today that SC Magazine, the global leader in information security knowledge, has selected InterDo and ScanDo among the best products of 2002 for information security.

SC Magazine’s 'Best of 2002,' printed in the December 2002 issue, lists KaVaDo’s InterDo for Windows NT/2000 2.1 among the top products in the Web server protection category. The product was selected based on a product review earlier this year in which SC Magazine gave InterDo a perfect five-star overall rating.

“Our inclusion in SC Magazine’s ‘Best of 2002’ is certainly an honour for our company and reflects the hard work we have put into our technology,” said Yuval Ben-Itzhak, CTO and co-founder of KaVaDo. “Equally as important, it is a validation of our leadership position in providing trusted, reliable Web application protection.”

InterDo effectively monitors and secures all traffic to and from Web applications before it reaches critical back-end infrastructure. InterDo features unique AutoPolicy technology for optimised and instant security policy creation, and its modular design protects emerging technologies such as SOAP and WebServices.

In the product review, SC Magazine explains, ‘InterDo is easy to install, highly scalable, flexible, and can support numerous applications simultaneously without any modifications to the applications themselves.’ The review continues: ‘InterDo delivers comprehensive and adaptable application-layer security, and its open architecture is designed to meet the unforeseen security needs of the future.’

This is InterDo’s second award this year, having previously been selected as a winner in the Best Application Security Software category of the Windows & .NET Magazine 'Readers’ Choice Awards.'

KaVaDo’s Web application scanner, ScanDo, was also awarded as one of SC Magazine’s ‘Best of 2002’ after receiving a perfect five-star rating in a product review last month. The article stated that ‘ScanDo offers the real-time reassurance that web applications and your IT environment are guarded against the very latest in offensive techniques, and as such, is an invaluable addition to any security policy; something we could all benefit from.’

The commercial success and industry support of KaVaDo’s products emphasize the company’s commitment to providing the highest level of comprehensive Web application protection without compromising performance, availability, ease-of-use or rapid deployment.

KaVaDo provides next-generation Web application protection solutions and vulnerability assessment products for the corporate market using its patent-pending Protected Path™ technology.
