London, 11 December 2002 - Ideal Hardware has received a commendation from the judges for B2B commerce project of the year at this years Information Management Awards. It won the commendation for its Licence Desk Internet (LDi) tool which was designed and implemented by Crimsonwing on Intershops scalable e-commerce platform Enfinity.

The results of IM2002 were announced on Thursday 5 December at a Gala Dinner held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Finalists and winners represent excellence and innovation in the management of business information and knowledge in an e-business environment.

We are delighted that our combined achievement has been recognised by the judges, commented Ian Taylor, managing director of Intershop. In developing this complex online licensing tool, Intershop worked closely with Ideal and Crimsonwing to understand the exact complexities of each vendors licensing matrices. LDi has simplified the process of quoting for large licensing orders and in turn making this accurate. In April 2002 Ideal was turning over 2M of licenses revenue a month, and by July this figure reached 30M revenue per month. LDi substantially improved Ideals business in under six months.
