Upgrade offers easy, affordable integration of two leading small business packages

30 January 2003 (A0302) ~ Ecommerce software specialist Actinic today
announced version 2 of Actinic Link for Sage Line 50, which provides a
direct integration between the two market-leading small business ecommerce
and accounts packages. Available from Actinic partners, it sells at £349 +
VAT as an add-on to Actinic Business or Developer v6. Visit
http://www.actinic.co.uk for details.

Mike Julien of online gift and card etailer www.wheesh.com, claims the
software has already proved itself on his site, saving time, reducing costs
and increasing customer satisfaction. "We specialise in a same-day
turnaround of orders which can only be maintained if our website accurately
reflects stock holdings recorded on our Sage accounting system," he says,
adding, "Actinic can now provide that 'missing link'. This proved vital
over the pre-Christmas period when we were able to increase the value of
shipments by factor of five over 2001 with only twice as many staff. The
software paid for itself many times over".

Paul Barker, director of Broadlands Business Solutions, a Sage and Actinic
partner, agrees. "The latest release of Actinic Link greatly increases the
benefits and functionality for the end user. It enables businesses to focus
attention on sales generation rather than data entry and administration".

Actinic Link v2 for Sage adds the following key features and enhancements.
With its Windows-style interface and comprehensive on-screen help, this
upgrade provides an easy to use and affordable way of integrating ecommerce
sites with Sage Line 50 accounting software.

Actinic Link can now automatically create a new customer record in Sage
Line 50 when an order is received at the web site from a new buyer.
Creation of both Registered and Unregistered Customers can be permitted or
prevented. New customers can be given a unique customer account reference,
using a set of rules that can be defined by the user.

The add-on can now recognise and utilise any invoice or order numbering
system being used within Sage Line 50.

When used in conjunction with Actinic v6, Link is able to update stock
levels of product components as well as the products themselves.

Version 2 is compatible with Sage Line 50 v9 as well as Actinic Business
and Developer v6 and can seamlessly upgrade integrations built using
earlier versions.

About Actinic Link

Actinic Link streamlines ecommerce and accounts applications into a single
system. It enables direct export of orders from Actinic Developer or
Actinic Business into the accounting software, and the update of customer
account, stock level and product information from the accounting software
to Actinic. This saves time and reduces errors by eliminating the need to
re-key web store orders or manually update the web catalogue.
