The purchase extends Gomez's complementary Internet performance measurement products, services and expertise into the European Channel.

London, UK, February TK, 2003 – Gómez, Inc., the industry-leading provider of Internet Channel Effectiveness solutions, has acquired WebPerform, a privately held UK-based company that specialises in understanding and improving delivery to end consumers of commercial Web services.

Through this acquisition Gómez augments their technological capability in web performance monitoring with WebPerforms leading Actual Web Performance Analysis Solutions. WebPerform’s CTO Paul Leroux, a veteran industry technologist, becomes Gómez’s, and brings key development skills to the combined entity.

The acquisition provides Gomez with a European headquarters to complement its 2002 acquisition of UK reseller, Actual IT, creating a formidable European operation. In addition Gomez's European web performance monitoring network becomes extended through the addition of WebPerform's network and points of presence.

For the WebPerform customer the acquisition adds Gomez's 'score card' products which offers a Quantitative approach to web site "usability". Furthermore, Gomez's ability to monitor the 'last mile' customer experience (acquired through their purchase in September 2002 of Porivo Technologies, Inc) completes the end-to-end web service picture for the WebPerform customer. WebPerform's global customers will now benefit greatly from being able to utilise the "Worlds Largest Web Performance Network".
