My Father, Bernard French, a man in his seventies, has spent the last 37 years working as a missionary and aid advisor in various Third World, primarily African countries. He is soon to retire.

His last visit will be to Malawi, one of the world’s poorest and most challenged countries. As well as Drought and Famine, Malawi suffers from huge AIDS related problems. Problems which have left around 50% of all children under 16 without parents. Survival for these orphans depends wholly on relief agencies and extended families.

As a tribute to my Father, a man as far removed from the commercial world of IT as it is possible to imagine and who has quietly become a hero and influencer throughout his life, I would like to ask you to help to make a difference in Malawi.

What is needed are Clothes especially Children’s Clothes and text/educational books, pens and pencils etc. Malawians are desperate to study, learn and better themselves.

Clothing as long as it is clean, does not have to be new.

I would ask you to clean out your wardrobes, drawers and cupboards of any clothing or educational equipment and send them to me at the following address:
