Dealer distribution channel delivers integrated self-service, parts pricing and ordering, and warranty claims processing capabilities

San Francisco/Jena, Germany March 11, 2003 Intershop Communications, (Nasdaq: ISHP; Prime Standard: ISH1), a leading provider of online commerce software for global enterprises, today announced that Linde Lift Truck Corp, a wholly owned subsidiary of Linde AG (Xetra: LIN), chose Intershops Enfinity B2B Solution to power their North American based website . The LindeLink dealer enablement network went live on schedule in December 2002 after a four-month implementation effort. With this announcement, Linde joins a growing list of blue-chip Intershop customers and partners including BMW, HP Services, Otto, Quelle, TimeLife, TRW and Volkswagen

The site provides every Linde distributor with online access to parts pricing and availability status, ordering, service information, documentation download, parts return, and warranty claim authorisation and processing. Dealers receive up-to-date corporate information via an electronic Message Center, and can submit and obtain all authorisation requests and approvals via the site.

The new site has increased business efficiency and staff productivity at Linde Lift Truck Corp. and the entire dealer channel. The most significant gains are attributed to the sites robust capabilities for parts management. By moving from a paper-based process to an automated self-service on-line system, steps that took hours now take minutes. As soon as we started to roll-out the site to our dealer network, we began to notice productivity increases both internally and with our dealers, stated Carsten Schnese, Chief Financial Officer, Linde Lift Truck Corp. Dealer inventory turns are increasing and our dealers are telling us that it easier to do business with us.

A key part of the implementation was the integration of Intershop Enfinity with SAP. The majority of Lindes business processes depend heavily on information stored in their SAP system, which makes it necessary to have seamless integration between SAP and Enfinity. Enfinitys robust integration capabilities were essential to rapidly integrating SAP and Enfinity for LindeLink, commented Peter Maag, CEO, Heidelberg Consulting.

Intershop is focused on delivering commerce management solutions that help companies enhance their business success with their customers, partners and suppliers, stated Tamara Artim, VP Consulting and Alliances, Intershop Communications. We are very pleased to contribute in a significant way to Lindes business efficiency and productivity improvements.
