Software can reduce 30 different processes involved in multi-operator projects to one

ORMvision N.V., the software provider that enables telecommunications operators to collaborate more efficiently and in a standardised fashion, today announced the launch of the latest version of its ORMcenter software suite, ORMcenter 2.0.

ORMcenter 2.0 provides huge operating cost reductions by streamlining communication with collaborative business process automation between operations departments of interconnected telecommunications operators, service providers and suppliers. The system manages end-to-end quality of service (QoS) and service level agreements (SLA) by ensuring that jointly-managed leased-line installations or fault reports are acted up in a speedy manner.

ORMcenter 2.0 is available as either a stand-alone or hosted model and provides users with greater flexibility and customisable features including:

Process compression – the processes of individual operators can now be pared down into one process

Personalised templates - services can be defined using an individual operator’s own ‘language’

SMS and e-mail alert user notification when service levels are endangered

Inbound and outbound communication enabling transparent communication with business partners

Online reporting with advanced exporting and printing capabilities providing an overview at all times

Business-rule-driven workflows enabling SLA monitoring and process jeopardy management.

Phil Church, CEO ORMvision, said: “With operators continually looking to reduce operating costs, the focus on effective business processes has never been greater. Currently if a service provider wants to provision an end-to-end pan-European network, it may need to use more than 30 different provisioning processes and order forms across a range of partners and in multiple languages, so the possibility for error is enormous. With ORMcenter 2.0 this is reduced to just one process and one service description, which can then be translated into the right format for its external business partners saving it huge amounts of time and money.”
