In common with other news sites, NewsNow has noticed a dramatic rise in traffic as a result of the outbreak of war.

In five days the traffic on the Iraq newsfeed has almost doubled every day rising from 4,000 hits to 36,000 today.

"The war is obviously on top of everyone's minds now that hostilities have begun. We want to make it easy for people to see how coverage is developing and to easily see from minute to minute what is happening," said Nick Gilbert, NewsNow Chief Executive.

These cover environment, The Bush cabinet, The Kurdish situation, humanitarian issues, the British Labour Party, the anti-war movement and a broad newsfeed taking all the main stories about the war itself.

"The situation in Iraq is a massive challenge for news organisations and journalists alike. Only through the use of a news portal like NewsNow can people compare and contrast coverage to make up their minds about what is really going on.
