Leading Benelux carrier uses eHealth Suite and Concord Enabled Managed Services offering for corporate and client infrastructure management

April 3, 2003 - Concord Communications (Nasdaq: CCRD) today announced that Versatel Telecom International N.V. (Euronext: VRSA) is using the eHealth Suite to manage Versatel’s IT-based network infrastructure as well as the infrastructures of its managed services clients. Versatel’s managed services clients include Achmea, Fortis Bank, Holland Casino, and Sony Music Entertainment Holland, to name a few.

Upon evaluation of several infrastructure management solutions, Versatel selected Concord’s eHealth Suite based on the following three critical criteria: ability to provide proactive end-to-end infrastructure management, expertise in managed services, and in-depth understanding of Versatel’s vertical customer base spanning finance/banking, industry & services, and the government sector.

Versatel is a facilities-based, competitive local access broadband network operator. The company is based in Amsterdam with offices in Belgium and Germany and services extending throughout the Benelux and northwestern region of Germany.

“As a competitive local access network operator, Versatel needed an end-to-end infrastructure management solution that would allow us to gain a competitive advantage through the delivery of superlative managed services that exceed customer expectations,” said Daan Ruhe, business consultant corporate accounts, Versatel. “Once we implemented Concord’s eHealth Suite, we saw immediate value in the software’s ability to provide a management solution that proactively monitored our network while increasing performance. The success of Concord’s Enabled Managed Services offering led to our adoption of the eHealth Suite as the preferred management solution for Versatel’s IT infrastructure for telecommunications services offered to its corporate customers.”

Using Concord’s eHealth Suite, Versatel is able to avoid potential network failures before they impact performance, which can result in greater productivity from the Versatel IT staff and increased customer satisfaction from the company’s managed services clients. For example, Versatel’s managed services customer Achmea is able to leverage the power of Concord’s eHealth Suite to proactively manage and monitor the infrastructure that supports the company’s expansive network to ensure it is operating at peak performance.

“Concord’s ability to provide unparalleled infrastructure management and managed services has made the eHealth Suite a mainstay at the largest telecommunications providers worldwide,” said Mike Betz, EMEA managing director, Concord. “Our success at Versatel proves Concord’s ability to allow local exchange carriers to level the playing field in the pursuit of building a strong managed services customer base.”
