Distributors, retailers and value added resellers (VARs) across the UK are adding the Hyundai-branded range of build-to-order PCs http://www.hyundaisystems.co.uk to their product portfolios. Manufactured under exclusive licence in the UK by Centerprise International http://www.centerprise.co.uk , the combination of the Hyundai brand name with a striking two-tone design, exceptional build quality and double-figure dealer margins is proving to be a huge success. As a result, Centerprise is looking to appoint distributors in certain key areas, including Manchester, Wales, London and the West Country.

One of the most significant deals to have been secured in recent weeks is a sole distribution agreement with CT Systems http://www.ctsystemsonline.com in Ireland. The agreement will see CT Systems deal with all retailers in Ireland through a ‘Hyundai Partner Program’ which sets out the conditions of trade between the two parties. CT Systems will also assume the role of Authorised Service Centre for Hyundai in Ireland.

CT Systems has taken on the full range of Intel and AMD Hyundai PCs as well as notebooks and ImageQuest monitors, for which Centerprise is the exclusive UK distributor. The company hosted an official product launch to the Irish market at the recent ICT Expo exhibition in Dublin. “The response was great,” says Gareth Ryan, Director, CT Systems. “Visitors to the show particularly liked the striking two-tone design of the systems.” Gareth has high hopes for the range: “It is early days,” he says, “but our target is to be moving over 1,000 units per month within a year.”

In Scotland, Glasgow-based Creative Computing http://www.creativecomputing.net is entering final stages of agreement with Centerprise to become an authorised reseller for the PCs in Scotland. Managing Director, Scott Jackson, explains why he is taking on the brand: “The black and silver casing of the Hyundai PCs looks fantastic! It is a design that you would be happy to have in your living room, as apposed to hiding it away in the spare bedroom. The design and build quality is excellent and the Hyundai name is up there with the best. I am confident that the PCs will be popular with our customers.“

One of the biggest names to come on board is Micom http://www.micom.co.uk Based in the Midlands, Micom specialises in supplying the SoHo (Small office Home office), SME, corporate and education sectors. Micom has been selling the Hyundai ImageQuest monitors for two years. “We have been delighted with the ImageQuest monitors, and they are now the only monitors we stock in the CRT arena,” explains Danny Thakrar, Micom’s Owner. Following the success of the monitors, Micom is now offering customers a wide range of complete Hyundai systems, including two AMD models, two Intel models and two notebooks. Danny Thakrar continues, “I am making good margins from the Hyundai System, which suits me very well. Sales of the Hyundai systems are ‘headache free’ for me as Centerprise provides all the on-site support.”

“The new Hyundai range gives resellers the flexibility to choose their own configuration and yet still have a branded PC they can take to their customers,” explains James Murdock, Marketing Manager, Centerprise International.

Every Hyundai PC is assembled-to-order at Centerprise’s £3 million production facility in Basingstoke and delivered to the reseller within five to seven working days. "This level of service, combined with impressive dealer margins, is something that tier-one vendors are unable to offer," continues James Murdock. “Most PC manufacturers give their resellers very little control over the product they sell, and if they do it comes at a premium. The Hyundai range offers VARs bespoke, branded PCs at off-the-shelf prices for the first time.”

Processor options on the Hyundai machines include AMD Duron™, AMD Athlon™, Intel® Celeron® or Intel® Pentium® (up to 2.4 Ghz). A 3.0GHz Hyperthreading machine is in the pipeline whilst an Intel® Centrino™-based notebook will be available soon. Resellers also have full control over HDD and RAM memory configuration and the choice of a 48x CD-ROM, 16x DVD-ROM or CD/DVD combo.
