Visitors to GeoSolutions 2003 will be able to discuss key issues with leading GI experts at a variety of free information features at this year¡¦s event. GeoSolutions 2003, held in association with the AGI Conference, will be held at Earls Court, London, UK from 16-18 September 2003.

The features will cover issues from a wide range of industry areas, from public sector through to marketing; and the information presented will be suitable for GI experts as well as newcomers to the industry. All will be able to gain invaluable information and advice from experts within their fields.

Just some of the features at this years event will include:
NEW: Data Solutions Zone - Due to the increased importance of high quality data, more buyers are reliant on using companies that provide good quality, for purpose data. The Data Solutions Zone will allow visitors to source various data solutions in one dedicated area from address management systems to data capture, conversion and analysis.

The Solutions Centre, in association with Kingston University, will provide visitors with an independent and informative facility to obtain hands-on experience of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), in both formal workshops and informal drop-in sessions. Presented by independent GIS experts, the workshops are designed to inform visitors, from a basic to advanced level, the details of producing a practical GIS using industry-standard software. Presentation topics will focus on Crime Mapping, Location-Based Services, and new for 2003, Communicating Your Data Effectively.

The Consultancy Centre Independent consultants with experience across many industry areas will be on hand to give free, independent advice on visitors specific issues. The consultants will also offer guidance towards suitable suppliers, information providers and educational opportunities. Visitors can either turn up onsite or book an appointment with a consultant before the event by visiting the website www.geosolutions-expo.com.

Space for Science, Enterprise and Environment in association with British National Space Centre (BNSC), Remote Sensing & Photogrammetry Society and BARSC. Find out the latest on current applications and new technology for monitoring and navigating the planet using space information for science, enterprise and environment.

GI for Joined-up Government Zone in association with The Intra-Governmental Group on Geographic Information (IGGI). Visitors will be able to view current projects in action and meet representatives of those project teams.

Hydro Solutions Zone in association with the Hydrographic Society. The business of gathering and applying offshore information is developing at a rapid rate. Visitors will have the opportunity to speak to experts from the Hydrographic Society about issues concerning GI for waters, rivers, ports, coastal zones and the Ocean.

Training Pavilion: The Training Pavilion will showcase the GIS university courses on offer. For those looking to gain qualifications in all areas of GIS, you can find out about all relevant courses from City University, University College London, Birkbeck College and UNIGIS.
