Launch of Staffware Process Interface Manager provides ARIS users with best-in-class BPM Integration

24th June 2003: Staffware, a global leader in Business Process Management (BPM) software, today announced the launch of its Staffware Process Interface Manager (SPIM) at IDS ProcessWorld, providing new levels of integration between the IDS Scheer’s ARIS Process Platform and the Staffware Process Suite. SPIM is designed to link process modelling to process execution.

Excellent business processes are commonly regarded as the heart of successful organisations. Designing and modelling these processes is crucial, but their effective execution and management is just as important. IDS Scheer offers the expertise in business process modelling while Staffware is the market leader in the execution and management of business processes.

Using open standards, SPIM automatically transfers ARIS process models as XML documents into the Staffware Process Definer. This not only enables a faster way of converting theoretical process models into operational business processes, but enables ongoing process management and improvement. Providing the ARIS Process Performance Manager (ARIS PPM) as an OEM product within the Staffware Process Suite for customers to control process performance, the integration of both products closes the lifecycle of holistic business process management.

One company experiencing the benefits of SPIM is BT. Tim Jacobs, Senior Delivery Manager within the BT FastTrack Solutions Technology Centre comments: “The ability to take the BT processes modelled within ARIS and rapidly execute them within the Staffware Process Suite has been central to helping us work towards achieving our business and technology goals, helping to reduce project costs and timescales.”

Dr Wolfram Jost, direct products IDS Scheer believes that the continuous optimisation of processes will benefit from the integration: “As a leader in business process modelling, the cooperation with Staffware enables us to offer our customers the ability to automate the full lifecycle of process management.”

“The delivery of SPIM marks out the Staffware Process Suite as the premier BPM solution for organisations who wish to convert ARIS process models into operational business processes,” says Jon Pyke, Chief Technology Officer, Staffware.

SPIM is available from Staffware today.

Staffware is sponsoring IDS ProcessWorld Europe 2003, and demonstrating the SPIM solution during the exhibition.
