PowerDesk at Flexible Working Solutions 2003 – Stand 18 – Olympia

PowerDesk UK launches their new range of integrated computer desk systems at Flexible Working Solutions 2003 at Olympia, London, on 30 June. PowerDesk’s internationally patented design has been used in the latest range of eight integrated computer furniture and multi media stations for home and office use.

The desk systems offer a unique solution by using the best British crafted desks with an integrated total multi media technology. They offer many benefits to customers including security, by locking the hardware into the carcase; adaptability, through a wide variety of hardware, software and easy upgrades; and style by offering a choice of “antique” and modern design.

The new range includes the impressive Georgian antique style twin pedestal desk design using environmentally sustainable wood, illustrated by the Chicago and the Madrid models, as well as the Regency writing table – the Singapore. The more compact models include the single pedestal Berlin and Rome, which also use these traditional materials. The modern lines of the Barcelona and the Tokyo, using metal, frosted glass and marble, exclusively designed by Almén and Gest, would fit into the most contemporary domestic or office interior. PowerDesk also offers a bespoke service for desks and matching furniture.

Paul Brett, Managing Director of PowerDesk UK, said: “We are proud to offer our new range of fully integrated beautiful desks and multimedia systems for all locations. We believe the PowerDesk range offer the stylish solution to modern living, by harnessing the cabinet-maker’s art with state-of-the-art technology.

“The applications for our products are almost endless, with many private individuals, hotel chains and businesses already enjoying leading edge technology in style and comfort.”

Notes to Editors

PowerDesk, founded in 1995 by David Gilbert, a talented software/hardware developer employing highly skilled cabinet makers in his furniture manufacturing company for more than twenty years, has relaunched at Flexible Working Solutions 2003. David Gilbert’s concept was to use the space at the back of the drawers and the back of the desk to hide computer hardware and cabling to maintain a clear working desk top and totally uncluttered appearance. This amalgamation of the cabinet-maker’s art together with state of the art technology offers a stylish solution to the demands of modern home and office living.

PowerDesk is the world’s first fully integrated desk and internal computer system. The Company has international patents on their product range throughout Europe, and in Australia, Japan, Norway, Russia, the UK and the USA.

The PowerDesk range of products was first launched in late 1996 and has a prestigious blue chip client base in both the private and public sectors. Existing clients include Hilton Hotels, Mandarin Oriental, Marriott and Le Meridien. The Company also designs bespoke desks as well as their seven standard models. Each PowerDesk has a freestanding screen, with the rest of the hardware integrated within the desk carcase, which is lockable. The PowerDesk is fully and easily upgradeable. The IT specifications can also be tailored to suit the user.

The Company currently has two autonomous divisions - PowerDesk International and PowerDesk UK. PowerDesk International is the manufacturing company that owns the worldwide patents to the products and is based in Billingshurst, West Sussex.
