Following extensive testing by the prestigious and independent test house, IPH of Germany, Chint NB1 and DZ158 miniature circuit breakers have been passed as meeting the requirements of EN60897-2 for DC applications. IPH tested the NB1 and DZ158 at 20kA 63 Volts and 25kA 80 Volts DC.

The Chint breakers are distributed in the UK exclusively through Rowe Hankins Components. Renowned for their reliability in AC applications, this new achievement makes it easy to specify from a single supplier circuit breakers for AC or DC use.

NB1 and DZ158 have a module width of 18mm and standard DIN rail fitting, installation is fast and easy and high packing densities are possible. The products are ideal for demanding use in telecoms and many DC industrial applications.

Also soon to be released is a 10kA interrupt capacity DC breaker to make a comprehensive range for users to choose from. All Chint MCBs are manufactured under stringent quality control in a modern production facility.
