- Version 3.3 includes new Internet functionality
- HIPAA standard increases security

Reading, England – 19 July 2003 – WinScribe Europe, the digital dictation specialist, has released a new version of its flagship product, WinScribe Internet 3.3. The new version provides enhanced Internet support, an importer to read voice files from third party Dictation systems, and increased security to HIPAA standard.

The new features further enhance WinScribe's position as the market leader, says the company. "The digital dictation market is growing rapidly and WinScribe continues to innovate in terms of features and benefits," said Philip Vian, Managing Director of WinScribe Europe. "We see a strong move by all customers away from the proprietary hassles of older dictation technologies. WinScribe 3.3 is an extremely attractive option for second generation digital dictation users."

"We aim to be ahead of the pack in terms of return on investment, with an open, flexible system that can be tailored to meet the exact requirements of each customer," added Vian

The Internet Importer in WinScribe 3.3 can read voice files from third party Dictation systems and import files safely and securely into the WinScribe system for further processing. This technology supersedes older "Telephone Re-record" options in other dictation systems, and allows customers to offload voice files securely from non-WinScribe systems, for remote transcription, eliminating the telephone circuit costs associated with older re-record technology.

Adding to WinScribe’s security features, and adhering to HIPAA standards, several enhancements have been added, including automatic logoff, encryption of all passwords and 30-bit private key encryption of voice files. “This additional functionality makes WinScribe the most cost effective HIPAA ready solution you can deploy across the enterprise, whether users are local or Internet connected,” said Vian.

Additional new features in WinScribe Internet 3.3:
· Support for high-end Dialogic T1 Cards, which are required for ISDN Telephony
· Agfa PACs Integration, allowing Accession or Patient Numbers to be automatically populated into jobs created by WinScribe. The Agfa PACS system is one used primarily by Radiologists, and is designed to improve productivity and efficiency in Radiology Departments.
· HL7 Interface to enable WinScribe to interact with other hospital software and systems.
· Ability to separate departments on a single server, offering a central solution with independent departmental use and reporting.
