Cortec Solutions today announced that Essex based Limehouse Board Mills has selected the CORTEC converter software system. The system, which is enabled for bar-coded stock identification and radio data terminals, will be phased in over several months this year. It will initially be used to manage laminator production including the purchasing and stock management of reels of raw material. Later phases of the project will embrace all of the many production processes, integrating them with stock sales and accounting systems.

Limehouse Board Mills is one of the oldest established family businesses in the board converting industry. Founded in 1860 and originally based in the East End of London the company today has thousands of product lines and hundreds of customers from many sectors. It is particularly known for the print and supply of white lined and grey boards.

Limehouse selected CORTEC converter to replace an ageing in-house system. The new system will enable improved stock turnaround and greater accuracy of tracking. Real-time data collection from the plant, which operates round-the-clock, will also reduce waste through tighter stock control leading to improved efficiency and cost reduction.
