Reactive Computers Limited, UK based storage systems specialist is set to offer a rental option for its complete range of solid state disc storage products and tailored replacement systems for legacy storage. Rental services are being provided by RentStore, the specialist storage arm of the Intelco Group.

Richard Hilkin, Managing Director of Reactive Computers sees the new rental plan playing a key part in the development of Reactive’s solid-state business. He comments. “Solid state is still the most expensive form of disk storage, but for many systems, where immediacy of response or ruggedness is paramount, it is extremely beneficial. Our RentStore plan now means that such storage has a far wider market and thus can deliver its speed and reliability benefits to many more applications.”

“ We will also be using rental in the legacy storage replacement market, where we are recognised as a leader. These products prolong the life of aging computer systems such as flight simulators, automatic test equipment and pre-press publishing systems. Using rental, a user is able to get even more return on the original investment without capital expenditure and the horrors of a complete system replacement and all that that entails”

Reactive Computer Services Ltd. was established in 1989 in the UK and 1995 in Australia. Both companies are ISO 9002 approved, accreditation being achieved in the UK during 1993 and in Australia during 1999.
