Addressing polypacks and envelopes has entered a new era with the launch of the Imaje Mailjet Advantage and Messajer 520 coding systems for the graphics industry. These new coding systems will interest users in high volume addressing and personalisation including print specialists, direct marketers, fulfilment houses and in-house marketing or billing departments. Imaje will be demonstrating their new systems in a live industrial application, installed onto well-known polywrapping and envelope inserting machines at their Runcorn HQ on September 16, 17 and 18.
To date binary systems have been very expensive both to purchase and to run. The Imaje continuous inkjet system provides an alternative that has a high printing resolution of 120 dpi, which is ideal for printing addresses, complex logos and PPI's (post print impressions). Using a compact multi-nozzle printhead, the system provides maximum installation flexibility for the end user. The Mailjet Advantage printhead is also considerably smaller than other addressing systems in the market.
The solvent use on the new Mailjet Advantage is a low one litre per week, compared to usage of up to one litre per hour on some competitor machines. This results in substantial cost savings, rapid payback and higher margins on mail pieces.
The worldwide official launch of the Imaje Mailjet Advantage and Messajer 520 will be at the Graph Expo in Chicago in late September 2003.
