Azure, the telecoms revenue assurance company, today announced the appointment of Bas van der Sande as head of partner channels.

Bas has over 12 years international experience in the IT and telecommunications sectors working with leading operators, hardware and software companies. He will be responsible for the set up and management of the Azure products and service portfolio through third party sales channels.

Bas joins Azure from Convergys where he was director of strategic alliances for Convergys EMEA. This involved the management and development of the company’s sales, marketing and delivery channels. As part of his role Bas contributed to establishing alliances with leading players in the telecoms industry to enhance Convergys’ outsourcing strategy.

Previously Bas was director of business development at Mindport IBS, a leading Internet and multi-media customer care and billing solutions provider, and prior to that he was business development manager at ADC Telecommunications Inc, where he was at the forefront of ADC’s (Metrica) business development and acquisition strategy. Bas has also held senior account management positions at NCR, AT&T and BT.
