Revelation Spearheads First Independent UK MV Database
Conference In 15 years

Revelation Software, a leading application development tool company, announced its participation and sponsorship of the 2003 London International Spectrum Show at the Thistle Lancaster Gate, 25-26 September 2003. Revelation intends to promote its unique product range to this, the largest independent gathering of “Multi-value” exhibitors in over a decade.

International Spectrum is an organisation dedicated to providing useful information
for users and developers of Multi-value Database Enterprise Solutions. Such solutions have gone under a variety of names in the past including (but not limited to) Pick™, Pr1me™, Ultimate™, Reality™, Universe™, Revelation™, Unidata™, D3™ and not forgetting IBM’s U2™.

For the past decade, Multi-valued technologies have been out of the limelight as purely Relational Technologies (such as those provided with SQL based solutions) took centre stage. However, with the growing realisation in the market that “Relational” is not a panacea and that real life data structures can’t always be easily modelled in such environments, the Multi-valued community is seeing an influx of interest.

“The return of Spectrum to London after over a decade’s absence is proof of the growth in the Multi-valued market,” said Gus Giobbi of International Spectrum. “We’re delighted to have Revelation Software helping us by being one of the sponsors of this event.”

"By being associated with this event, Revelation will gain in-depth exposure to and contact with many of the leading Multi-valued proponents in the marketplace,” said Francesca McAuley, managing director of Revelation Software Limited. “This isn’t about competition; it’s about seeing what great ideas are out there and ensuring that our offerings stay abreast with the rest of the market. The companies in the Multi-valued community never went away they just continued quietly expanding their user bases and improving their product lines!”
