--Intelliden R-Series™ Software Solution Suite Certified “Ready For IBM Tivoli”--

Intelliden Corporation, the intelligent networking company, today announced that its Intelliden R-Series™ solution has been successfully integrated with IBM Tivoli NetView and certified as “Ready for IBM Tivoli software.” With this certification, IBM NetView customers can confidently and easily deploy Intelliden software solutions within their service provider, enterprise and federal environments to achieve greater network control, security, and optimization across their IP infrastructure.

In passing IBM’s world-class certification process, the Intelliden R-Series improves the efficiency and control of IP networks by enabling NetView customers to automate end-to-end service management, change management and configuration management of routers, switches, firewalls and optical devices. NetView customers can detect a network device problem and now with Intelliden they can also view the device configuration, diagnose the problem, run detailed reports and bring the device back online with minimal manual intervention.

“Intelliden’s Ready For IBM Tivoli software certification allows customers to increase their operational efficiency, improve resource availability and lower their networking costs,” said Dale Hecht, Intelliden president and CEO. “These are important milestones to organizations managing dynamic IP infrastructures. We look forward to bringing the benefits of our IBM Tivoli NetView integration to mutual customers everywhere.”

The Intelliden R-Series software suite provides rapid identification, analysis and resolution of networking issues that can threaten the availability, security and compliancy of business-critical network devices. The Intelliden R-Series ensures business continuity via granular control of IP network devices. It provides notification when a network device becomes unstable, and can then intelligently roll back the network device to the best previously known network state.

“This is a very important systems management milestone and the industry’s first integration of network management and configuration management capabilities. Until now, network management platforms could only tell you there was a network problem. They couldn’t fix it. Now they can”, said Rich Ptak, CEO and president, Ptak and Associates. “By using the Intelliden R-Series, NetView users can now perform end-to-end service and configuration management of routers, switches and firewalls. And they can now detect a router, switch or firewall problem and via Intelliden, they can bring the device back online. The bottom line is that this integration enables IBM Tivoli NetView customers to further link their network and IT resources with their business priorities.”
