Orchestria and IMlogic Offer an Alternative to Banning Instant Messenger (IM) Use with Technology Integration

Companies in the finance, banking, insurance and healthcare markets that may put themselves at risk by allowing employees to use unregulated Instant Messaging will have a viable alternative to banning IM use with a new technology partnership between Orchestria and IMlogic.


The partnership, effective from today, is based on technology integration between Orchestria’s Active Policy Management (APM) software that provides real-time visibility and control for email, theWeb and Instant Messenging with IMlogic’s server-based IM Manager.


As a fast-growing communications medium, IM presents a challenge to regulated industries such as finance, banking, insurance, healthcare, government and telecommunications with UK companies struggling to control IM and other electronic communications in the face of regulations such as the Financial Services Authority (FSA) guidelines, Basel 2 and the Turnbull Report and its associated UK Code of Conduct.
