New end-to-end capability great news for Ideal customers
Chessington, November 11: Ideal has successfully completed the rigorous accreditation process required to deliver Hewlett Packard-branded implementation services for its Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) range of storage solutions. Ideal now joins the highly exclusive list of partners who have achieved this highest level of accreditation.
Now, in addition to selling the EVA product range, Ideal will be providing, via its reseller customers, key services like planning, design and implementation.
“Ideal have been making large investments in HP storage to develop core strengths that complement those of our reseller partners” says Donal Madden, Ideal’s Business Manager for HP Storage. “This latest achievement underlines the depth of our capability, and further adds to the growing range of services we can offer in delivering HP storage.”
Ideal has invested heavily in developing the market for HP storage solutions, and has worked closely with resellers to support them in finding and closing sales opportunities.
In May 2003, capitalising on the successful launch of HP’s ‘My First SAN’ sales and marketing campaign, Ideal launched its own complementary programme with the theme of ‘First Aid for Server Storage’. The programme outlined how HP and Ideal can help resellers to encourage their customers to migrate to an HP SAN.
The campaign included the provision of training for sales and technical teams, demonstration equipment and on-site consultancy for end users.
What is HP EVA?
The HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA) family is the proven flagship in HP’s storage offering. As well as providing high performance, high capacity and high availability, EVA is enabled by VersaStor technology which removes the time, space and cost boundaries of traditionally architected storage. The EVA is designed for the data center where there is a critical need for improved storage utilization and scalability while meeting application specific demands for consistently high transaction speeds, seamless capacity expansion, instantaneous replication, and simplified management.
