14th November 2003 - Kaspersky Labs, a leading information security software developer announced today the release of the latest version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Lotus Notes/Domino, an integral part of the Business Optimal and Corporate Suite packages. Version 5.0 includes significant changes, which raises the overall effectiveness and ease-of-use.

The latest version of the product is built around a new anti-virus kernel that improves stability and increases the reliability of scanning. A new user-orientated interface simplifies the configuration and control of the program, allowing for remote administration and anti-virus system monitoring via the Internet. The interface is structured logically and has an intuitive feel that is the result of a web-focused design.

The modernised e-mail filtration system is another key feature and a new option for quarantining infected and suspicious objects has been added. This allows potentially dangerous objects to be blocked and analysed later according to rules set by system administrators.

Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Lotus Notes/Domino provides centralised protection from malicious programs for enterprise e-mail gateways and can be installed on servers running under either Linux or Windows NT. The solution provides continuous real-time virus scanning of all e-mail traffic including embedded objects. Should viruses be detected, the administrator can choose between disinfecting and isolating the infected e-mail.

Registered users of previous versions of Kaspersky Anti-Virus for Lotus Notes/Domino can upgrade their versions free of charge. Please contact the Kaspersky Labs partner nearest you.
