KEWILL GIVES HOME SHOPPING & CATALOGUE RETAILERS GREATER VISIBILITY FOR SUCCESSFUL DIRECT DISPATCH TO CUSTOMERS


19th November 2003, London - Kewill, the leading provider of supply chain execution solutions, today announced further enhancements to Kewill Trade Direct Dispatch, the supply chain execution management software now widely used in the UK home shopping and catalogue industry. The new features are designed to give retailers even greater visibility of the supply chain and provide the alerts and information needed to pre-empt and respond to a problem successfully.


The new alarms management enhancements to Kewill Trade focus on how the software alerts a retailer to a potential problem before an issue escalates. This gives a retailer the opportunity to adjust shipping dates, check stock and inform the end customer about changes to their delivery.


The enhanced functionality includes settings for what information an alarm contains, what constitutes an event, its frequency, and how the alarm is issued either by email, web screen or mobile SMS. In addition, there is integration with transactional systems and other external business intelligence tools, enabling problems to be resolved effectively, and analysed in greater depth if necessary.
